BTEC HNC Health and Social Care Practice (Level 4) About the Course This course is for people who wish to commence their learning in preparation for employment in the healthcare sector and who have no prior experience in the sector. The course covers several subjects that aim to provide candidates an overview of the various faculties of healthcare. Subjects taught will include Human Physiology, Public Health, Quality Management, Legal Issues in Healthcare and various other programs. The course will enable candidates to attain a comprehensive blend of healthcare knowledge and skills associated with management and administration requisite in the delivery of modern health and social care services HNC (total 10 units) 1. Communicating in Health & Social Care Organisations Develop Learners ’ awareness of different forms of communication used in the health and social care context and the importance of communication in service delivery Develop an understanding of the values and principles that underpin the practice of all those who work in health and social care, particularly from the prospective of those with management and leadership roles Provide the knowledge and understanding needed to ensure learners understand their responsibilities in ensuring the health and safety of the workplace and the people in it. Encourage learners to develop as reflective practitioners Provide learners with the opportunity of exploring three levels of partnerships. Firstly, at service user level between users and professionals, secondly, at Inter professional Explore a range of perspectives that influence research design and analysis of data.
